Went out today, water was low and clear. Saw at least one car at every drop in point I went to. Also Martel may be a zoo, there was a fire in town.
I did well today, Blue olives were hatching in the 20 + range.
I think all fishermen prefer to be thought of as crazy.

Glad to hear you did well on the Rush. I have also heard that things are picking up on the Kinni and fish are spreading out more. We just need a good rain to get the stream levels back up.

“If the trout are lost, smash the state. More than any other fish, trout are dependent upon the ambience in which they are caught… At the first signs of deterioration, this otherwise vigorous fish just politely quits, as if to say, ‘If that’s how you want it…’”

Got a little bit coming, but not nearly enough to make a big dent in our water deficit.
This is the expected total through Thursday afternoon:

The only downside to today is, my waders were ambushed by barbedwire. Leaving me with two holes and a wet foot.
I think all fishermen prefer to be thought of as crazy.
