Thanks! Looks just like a Sparkle Dun - my favorite fly of all time. I carry one fly box with me at all times that has nothing but Sparkle Duns in it of various sizes (14-20) and colors (tan, grey, olive, yelloe, white). Floats well, easy to tie, cheap materials, has a great silhouette and catches lots of fish on the surface. Looks like I need to add another color...

what do you use for your wings & tail? Matt uses 8-10 strands of zelon for tail and caribou hair for wings.

I usually use deer hair for the wings. Sometimes elk if I want something lighter colored. I stack the hair first and end up with a really nice looking semi-circle of a wing. Antron or zelon for the tails - usually cream or olive colored, depending on the body color.

If you choose to cross over to the dark side, be careful. Eddie is usually in the guard tower just over the MN border ... but if you cross before 8AM you are usually okay as he is still sleeping, dreaming about Troutstock ...

I heard you have to challenge him with a riddle. If he cannot solve it, you may pass. However, if he does solve it you will forever remain in his debt and your singular purpose in life will be to pull a dozen feet or so of fly line out in front of him so he may make a first cast with fewer false casts.

Here is your first riddle.

I don't know about that. The fawn looked pretty tasty to me. LOL
