Huge difference in streams when checking and fishing today. Tons of snow runoff depending on where I was. First stop was high and mud soup, second stream was high but fishable. I spent about 25 minutes fishing there. Fish weren't very cooperative and were lethargic. Heading to the third stream and the water levels were back to normal and surprisingly clear and the fishing was awesome. 64 fish to hand! Pretty well split between brooks/browns. Nothing huge, biggest browns were a pair of 17" browns. Lots of color on the brookies.

Good deal Matt. Thanks for posting! Sounds pretty fantastic. Trout yesterday for me would only give one swipe and often aggressive but missed and could not be encouraged to hit a second time minus the average sized ones.

It's slow at work for me right now so the boss let me have another day off. I took a buddy of mine on his first trout fishing trip. He is a huge fisherman but has never chased trout before. We landed 38 between us. Best fish was a 18" brown. Most rivers in the area are now high and dirty. A few on the upper end are fine. I think my buddy is hooked and will be back in a stream in the near future. He said his legs and back were hurting when were done. He's too used to sitting in a boat!
