The pros and cons of beaver dams have been discussed at length in multiple threads on DTA. Here is one of the cons of the dreaded beaver. A killing field loaded with sharp pointy ended sawn off trees meant to impale any angler dumb enough to attempt walking through them an tripping. After impaling an angler or two, the beavers then light the field on fire and have a BBQ. Seriously, I walked through this thicket and really felt that a false step could lead to serious injury. |

Yup. I walked around a similar hazard earlier this year and thought the same thing. Trip and fall, and you would be shish kabobbed. -Bill |

"Well, there was this beaver..." As long as they show the picture of the 16" brookie that lives behind the dam, most trout guys/gals would say it was worth it ... and as long as there isn't a 'pierced by beaver stick' exclusion clause in the life insurance, my wife would be fine .... Great material for a Eulogy story .... mj |
