You know. Fishing with a bobber casting downstream into a pool set 5' deep with a chub and sinker 1' above (to keep him down) seems to work well! Caught the same 25" brown again. He has a big mouth. He is 'hook free' and in good condition for another day.

All five big trout caught the last week were on chubs. The two prior were on worms. I guess bait works!

Drooling over your monster catches!

I am sooooooooooo tempted to use chubs and worms.

Do you catch chubs in the same stream?

That is one mean looking Brown Trout! Well done Mark! You certainly have the big ones dialed in.

I've been away from DTA for a few weeks and just saw these brutes! Very nice Mark! Wasn't one of your first big browns on a chub too?

Awesome fish Mark!

I haven't fished with live bait in quite a while, but this is tempting me to do so. Looking through the MN regs it says you cannot possess live minnows on designated trout streams. So I'm guessing you're probably fishing non-designated water?

Not calling you out at all, just want to make sure I don't get in trouble if I try this.

Read it more carefully - "designated stream trout lakes"
