Hi all,
I'm looking to fish the Deborah area July 1st and 2nd. I was wondering if there are streams that I should avoid this time of year? I was thinking of hitting bear creek or Waterloo creek. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Some of the streams in the area can get a little overgrown and others warm up as the heat of summer sets in. Coon Creek is not easy to fish even when vegetation is low, even harder now. Trout River is mucky wading with lots of bankside growth that wants to keep you in the water. Canoe Creek is a little warm in mid-summer.

The streams you mention should give you more water than you could fish in two days. I might do the special regulagtion section of Waterloo one day and North Bear the next if I had two days to fish.

Thanks for the advice! I did just as you recommended. Success on both streams but Waterloo creek has a lot of parsnip. Also, I didn't realize how popular bear creek is. I saw more anglers there than anywhere else in this area.
