places way upstream may be fishable by tomorrow afternoon or night. More opportunities could open up on Saturday...

but Sunday could start it all over again, depending on the additional rain... either way, the Kickapoo is gonna be a MESS for a while

Should be fine. I think the spawn generally is late Oct. into Nov. With that said, the streams should have perfect conditions for a very successful spawn.

I would think that the floods washing away silt and exposing stream bed rock and gravel would be a positive thing for Trout spawning. But an untimely flood either during the spawn or after the eggs have been deposited would not be good. Flooding is pretty rare in the Driftless in the late fall (or at least it used to be). But, the last few years have been anything but normal: drought in 2011, heavy floods in 2012 & 2013, harsh winters in 2014 & 2015, and now flooding again in 2016.

Hang in there Mother Nature.
