Yesterday I snuck up on a pair of brook trout over a redd. They were bigger than average for the stream, but not even close to the length of your fish. I didn't see any obvious redds or fish that appeared to be on them during the last two weeks, oddly enough. I was in class I (non stocked, natural reproduction) waters, but for whatever reason I don't think they were actually spawning yet. it's definitely something I try to stay conscious of, especially in Jan/Feb early season. |

I know I already congratulated you, but I just gotta say this... I am one jealous sob right now. You've caused me to scout Ontario for nights on end. If you can make it up next June I think the Brookies will be in for a smackdown the likes of which they've never seen. Again, AWESOME FISH |

As long as it doesn't overlap with my Tetons trip, I'm super game. But we only gotta wait til January to head back to this girl's stomping grounds |

And I'm talking fish in the 18-24" bracket next summer, I've found shit that I doubt gets touched way back on the logging roads. Its probably good that I don't live there as I would contribute absolutely nothing to society. |
