TROUTSTOCK 2017 will be held next week on the banks of the Trimbelle River in beautiful Trimbelle Wisconsin. At 10:00am on Saturday the 10th those who would like to discuss current politics and climate change can sit around the coals of the fire that burned the night before and talk face to face about climate change issues and politics. I will probably be out fishing during this time but since the issue is important to many DTA'ers I thought it would be nice to set aside a time and place for DTA'ers to settle their differences regarding these issues. The fact no one is outraged makes this so board so disappointing. This board is premised on natural resource conservation of which will disappear with our current environmental policies.

Who says no one's outraged or upset?

I'm very politically aware and have strong opinions and beliefs, especially when it comes to the environment. Having a political flamefest only divides us though and is pointless. I don't come to this forum for that.

The previous thread was most likely deleted for just that reason.

From what I can see, dropping out of Paris will have a negligible direct effect on the Driftless in the short run and we'll most likely be right back in that agreement in four years... or less.

A far greater direct threat to the Driftless is our (WI) own state legislature and our anti-science governor. The local policies are what worry me.

Local policies are what have made the Driftless what it is today and local policies can chip away from it and undue the great progress.

Just got another email from TU about another bill that is anti-resources.
