Hate to say it but this latest news will probably be enough to get him reelected next year. Just waiting for Mr. Anti-Natural Resources Adam Jarchow to be appointed DNR secretary. Or Tom Tiffany. Cursing [/quote]

Or Kleefisch or the state legislator who thinks the universe is 6000 years old (some of the local Native Americans' ancestors must've had some epic battles with dinosaurs).

Sad to say, but in a few years, we may look back at Stepp's tenure as the good old days.

Just wait.

If the legislature is successful in barring DNR wardens from investigating criminal activity on private lands, it's short leap for them to start rolling back public access to streams and lakes. Subverting the organization that (used to) champion public hunting and fishing access is the first step.

Think carefully the next time you vote.

Sporstmen will (have) realize(d) too late that the GOP is not actually on their side.

The great con continues.

I've met some Republican politicians who do understand and support sportsmen and the environment. After all, it was Nixon who signed the clean air act into law. But enough are just rubber stamping stuff like the environmental protection rollbacks for Foxconn. Every company that wants to build in state will now be asking for this and further concessions. A bad deal for everyone I think.
