I don't have a dog door, but it seems that cutting a hole in an outside door for a dog to get in and out will be a big energy drain in the winter, since pet doors never seem to be insulated.

Good luck with your puppy, I know you miss your last dog greatly.

You should take him for a walk every morning and every evening!
That will be very good for both of you!ThumpUp

Good idea. All the best. Don't forget to take your dog outside.
