It is definitely cost effective and if you practice you can make a superior spinner to anything out there. Lure Parts Online.com is the best site I use. I would recommend .40mm wire as it won't bend or get mangled. However you can't use a round nose pliers by hand with that size as it's tough stuff. The best wire former for the money is the Twistech. Don't waste your money a small hand one. If you are gonna use lighter wire a nice German round nose pliers works great but gets tough on the fingers. Check out my youtube if ya want to see them in action and there are a couple lure making videos there too. Happy Fishing! R

Bill-- Eddie caught the Tiger TWO opener-trapfests ago! That article is from 1/2016! where has the time gone! Eddie is probs way better at flyfishing by now! I pulled the plug last year because it was going to be too cold to drive 3 hours.

If the weather is reasonable this year I may find myself in Timber Coulee valley come January 6th.

...and maybe I won't have to jump Eddie's car so he can get home this year. Still driving that ice-cube, Eddie?

Hoping I can get a break from work for Trapfest weekend. Doesn't matter the temperature--opening day Trapfest is fun as hell.

Fixed! Must be my Alzheimers kicking in. Time sure is gong by faster it seems. Only four weeks before the start of the 2018 season!
