I'm wondering if anyone has fished the streams on the Bayfield Peninsula during the summer.

We might be going there this summer or next. I've been to Bayfield and Ashland and to the beaches on the peninsula but didn't try to fish.

Wondering if there are year round trout in those streams as it will be summer when we go and I'd like to check them out. Fish or no fish, I bet they're beautiful places.

I'd be looking at the peninsula itself as would only be able to duck out for a couple of hours. Don't want to go over to the Bois Brule, for instance.

So… are any of those lake run streams also trout streams?

Most have a ton of little smolts and not a ton else. Apparently Siskiwit above the Falls is pretty good for residents. That said, just to the south and west, there is a ton of good water. The mid-upper Brule is the best bet, just beware of the bugs.
