Hey all,

Curious if anyone has any info on how the tribs are doing. Thinking about heading east for the weekend to chase some steel.

Thanks in advance!

I just got back from looking at two of them.
No ice, lots of water, very stained moving very fast.

I did not see any fish in my usual haunts.
I will go back tomorrow and check again, but we are expecting some precipitation tomorrow I believe.

I am sure that was of no help to you at all, but that's all I got.

Spent the day in and around Milwaukee. Big rivers dirty. Smaller stuff fishable. Some fish around but the waters still cold.

I was on a trib yesterday.
Water is all but perfect.
Slight stain, correct flow speeds, no ice shelves, perfect levels.

I saw 1 fish.
No strikes or rolls.
Just a tad early.

Need a couple warmer days.
We are really close.

Man was it nice to be out though.
See ya on the river.

(Yes, I quoted myself because my info was bad, my apologies)

Any updates on steel? Blown out around school, was hoping to head east in pursuit of a new adventure. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations?

We need rain!!!!!!!!

Very disappointing so far.
Water really low.
I have been scouting regularly.
No reds, no fish sighted, no fisherman, no water.
The dam at Estabrook park is being removed, the Milwaukee river is a little messed up right now.

Some are catching fish in the harbors on spawn sacks.
Not my thing.

Good luck to you.

Took a walk outside Milwaukee today. Lots of steel and hardly any fisherman in sight... Going to try to get back with a rod Tuesday morning. What patterns should I tie up tonight?

That would have been an idea...

Being a heathen, I had today free while most others have other things going on.

Next year for sure.

A chance to to the lake run thing without being amongst a crowd.
