That makes sense to me, because my felt wading boots are one size up and they fit fine.

Sure wish I could find waders whose socks fit me better - heck, fit me better all over. I am on the little teapot side of things (short and stout), and waders that fit my waist are very baggy with size 12 socks.

I just sent a message to Mat on availability of Freestones or Vapors in my size. If he doesn't have them, I'm sure he can order them from me, and I'll pick 'em up next time I'm up there.

I am a big fan of Simms Freestone boots as well. I currently own 3 pairs. One with studs, one without studs and a brand new backup pair that is in my closet that I got for 50 dollars off.

The thing I like the most about the Freestones is that they are extra wide for my extra wide feet. After 7 foot surgeries my feet are somewhat easily irritated by ill fitting footwear. I can fish and hike for hours and miles with my Freestones on with very little irritation. ThumpUp
