Good afternoon all,

I hate introductions, its like fishing on a dating site....LOL! A new member here from the Commonwealth of Virginia. I've been swinging the stick since I was 8. -That was many, many moons ago. I still don't know it all, there will always be fly fishing lessons to learn and big fish to break-off. I enjoy getting out into the water every chance I get...which is not enough. Here in my section of VA, I live on a tidal flat of the Potomac River. Plenty of great Bass fishing, Shad fishing in the Rappahanick River during the spring is a blast! For trout I head to the western part of the state. I also enjoy floating a line in NC, PA and Northern MI. I head back to my home waters of MI every fall to chase Kings, Coho's, Steelheads and the crafty wild Browns of the Pere Marquette, Platte and Au Sable Rivers.

I did my time in the US Submarine Force and that got me to a lot of fishable water in the MED, Europe, the Atlantic Coast and down in the Caribbean. -Yes, I have a few stories of broken rods, huge Tuna, Tarpon and lightning fast Barracuda.

I enjoy tying my own bugs...which are ugly. I also am a bargin hunter, if its a worn out reel or rod that needs to some TLC and new guides wrapped on, I'm on it!!!!!

I also enjoy a good IPA and Two Hearted ale is my favorite. :)

Thats it for now, if you have any questions give me a shout.

Welcome! Bell's Two Hearted is a fantastic one. It was the #1 rated beer last year according to the Zymurgy beer magazine.

Hello,

I am new, and just found this board. I like to fish for brookies and browns.

I mainly fish spinners on spinning rods. Someday I might learn to flyfish.

I also plan to join trout unlimited for my birthday in September.

I practice selective harvest only on streams that seem to need harvest of smaller fish.

My friends just refer to me as "Z"

Z - check your email. The PM function isn't working right now, so I sent an email to the address you used to register on this board.

Good luck out there!

Blasphemy Gurth!!! We at TU invented trout. We hand craft every single one of them and then lovingly release them in a special place on each stream and lake.

But seriously, TU does a lot of good work with the $35 membership fee. Local chapters only get about $2 of that, so our work is mainly through volunteer time, additional donations, and grant writing. If you don't feel too connected to your local chapter, feel free to switch your membership to #278 which is the Coulee Region TU chapter of SW Wisconsin.

Uh-oh... don't send the TU brute squad after me.

I was joking.

I'm a member two times over with a regular membership and the license plate.

I got my renewal gift in December and I still get emails about once a week saying that my membership has expired and wouldn't I like to renew. And yes, I've sent correspondence asking for them to stop as I already renewed.

Lots of snail mail letters too asking me to donate more or become a life member.

TU is important and I appreciate what they do, but they're on me constantly.
