This was yesterday in Madison.

3-4 inches of ice I'd say.

Wish I was out there again today, but life called. Sad

Another productive day and while the bite wasn't constant like Friday, the fish were much larger.

I did well with 15 or so keepers along with a crappie. This was my largest and the largest bluegill I've ever caught...

UserPostedImage

My buddy got 20 and left an hour before me and he caught several like the one above and 2 or 3 that were even larger.

Fished till after dusk and was quite chilled by the end.

I know it was nice out today, but the breeze was constant out on the ice and I didn't expect to stay much past 2 or 3 and wasn't dressed for sundown.

Got some more cleaning to do but will get a whole lot more meat for the effort.

Awwwww yeah!!!

Have honestly never seen a largie this small.

Thought it was a shiner till I got a better look.

Favorite fish of the day.

The wind was steady and annoying today. Got probably 40 gills, but the big ones were tough to come by and I threw back the marginals that I might keep if I didn't already have a bunch in the freezer.

Only kept 6.

Brrrr!

Nice job guys!
I've managed to get out every wknd since Thanksgiving. Bite has been pretty good, but I'm starting to see a bit of negativity out of the Panfish. I guess thats what happens when you have safe ice in November.

Gurth, those are some toads! I've been busting ass on northern lakes for fish like that, nice job finding them near MadisonThumpUp

The system here is known for them but they're still pretty fun to find in person as I'm so used to little ones most of the time during the summer.
