A go to chub spot is valuable. Free bait for other fish! Chubs work well for browns and pike and catfish, dogfish.

Make sure you’re below the designation point. You can’t move bait from designated Trout water. I got yelled at for collecting hex flies as a kid a couple times.

If there is a high population of chubs what trout are there will grow at a tremendous rate.

Nick does that apply to WI and MN? I could be guilty. I've gone to MN trout streams specially to catch chubs for bait.

If you immediately use it on the stream you caught it from, it’s fine, I’m fairy certain on that.

Cool. I generally do this but sometimes take some chubs to catch pike or dog or catfish. Don't send the Chub Police after me. Sorry to steal food from big trout.

The nice thing about Chubs is they’re generally quite abundant.
