Biggest brown I ever caught (24") smashed a huge spinner literally 30 seconds after a tractor crossed the stream 20 yards upstream. He was in a hole below a field crossing and was definitely not scared of the plume of mud (and probably food) that had just been flushed into his home.

I’m all about wading. Walking the bank will send vibration out, and on a lot of streams, plenty of fish live under the bank. I think you’re better off wading up the inside bank, and bombing long casts initially. Dissect the cover fully once you’re in close.
