My dad has one(possibly two) female black labs for sale. Both parents are black labs and AKC certified. The litter produced 3 yellows and 5 blacks. Some white spotting on some of the pups chests and paws. The father is my lab Louie and he has an awesome disposition. Trout fished with me since he was 6 months old. Retrieved about 50 ducks last year in his rookie season. He is rearing and ready to go when we do stuff, but is a great house pet too. email me at curly_17_33@yahoo.com for further info if you are interested the puppies are 6 weeks old and located in Prairie du Chien, WI

What are the Wisconsin laws regarding bringing your dog fishing with you on easements? In Minnesota you have to have landowner permission or be on state land. I ask because I’ ve got a 4 month old shorthair who I plan to bring fishing. First trip with him will be next weekend.

I would guess they're allowed unless otherwise noted. I know a handful of easements that have official looking no dog signs.
I could be wrong though. Trapper would probably know for sure.
I've always taken my dog on state or county land

good luck with the pup!
maybe a shorthair will have less instinct to chase your fly line than a lab does lol

Thanks. Think I’m going to start with him leashed to my belt and go from there. I’m all ears for pointers/advice. Edited by user Friday, July 12, 2019 2:01:00 AM(UTC)

A few places with cattle have posted no dogs or pets on leash.
Control of your dog is the most important issue. My yellow lab stays on a lead if I plan on catching anything.
An employee of TUDARE insists on not taking a dog on easements..idiot
I have never ever had an issue taking my dogs fishing
Wisconsin has no law concerning dogs on easements. BTW: Dogs can not get trespassing tickets in Wisconsin. |
