Another 4 inches last night in the Viroqua area. The ground was already soaked from the previous storm, so it will be a couple days before things will settle down. Temperatures will be lower going into next week. The positive thing with all this rain is that it will help keep stream flows strong and cooler for the coming weeks.

I saw somebody report 9 inches in the Bohemian Creek area on the La Crosse National Weather Service FB page.

14 is back open again, at least. How many times has Coon Creek been in the park this year?

Or in the last five years. Sadly, too many to count. They should consider moving the park to higher ground, or at least removing the things that would be damaged by high water.

This repeated flooding appears to be the new norm.

Things aren't much better west of the Ssippi' either. More thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow as well.

Damn.

Just when the area was starting to recover a bit from last summers flood.

Anybody been out fishing or looking at stream conditions in the southern DA today? I'm hoping to make the trip up on Monday if the creeks are fishable.
