I was wondering what everyone’s impressions of this app after using it for a season. I used it for about 3 months, and I found it useful. I look at it as another tool. It doesn’t replace doing your homework, reading about the streams and doing the leg work.
I do think it makes it easier to find a new stream the first time. It is just an electronic version of the map book that the state already gives you. Once I find a new spot it goes into my gps.
The time it really helped me, I got late start and needed to find another place to fish. The sections of the river I wanted to fish were taken. It turned out to be a scouting day. Made it easier to find a plan “B”.
It would also help if the rivers were marked at the crossings, especially near the headwaters where they are narrower than the ditch in front of my house.

I just downloaded it on my new Android phone, seems to work great. In addition to Driftless streams, I'm going to use it for my late April/early May trip to Black Hills National Forest.
