I'm gearing up for my trip next week. Anyone seeing terrestrials? I'd love to throw some hoppers. I'll be fishing Allamakee and Winneshiek counties in Iowa.

its still real early for good terrestrial fishing. they're around but i havent seen huge numbers. If i was gonna throw ants or hoppers i'd probably stick with small patterns.

I saw my first (real) grass hopper about a week ago. Still a bit early to fish those. But Crickets are a good bet if the sun is off the water.

I'd throw a foam beetle this time of year, with a nymph dropper.
