With the season coming up shortly, does anyone know of any streams in the Viroqua/Westby area that provide decent fishing for rainbows? I've caught plenty of browns and brooks, but just curious if anyone catches any bows.

There are very few driftless streams with natural bows. You can count them on one hand. Some central sands streams have them, I think the Mecan has a few. Blackhoof river in the Nemagi system has Steelhead smolts up to 12" until midsummer when they make a run for the lake

You could try the trout stocking database:
http://infotrek.er.usgs....eMapHotspotsAllYears.htm

For instance I clicked on Vernon. Selected all streams. Downloaded the spreadsheet. Save the spreadsheet as a CSV. Then open and filter for only rainbows. Then sort by stocking year. For Vernon I did not come up with much:

2012 ESOFEA POND 13N-5W-4 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN YEARLING 350 8.8
2012 NORTH FORK BAD AXE RIVER 12N-7W-12 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN YEARLING 496 8.8
2011 ESOFEA POND 13N-5W-4 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN YEARLING 229 8.64
2011 NORTH FORK BAD AXE RIVER 12N-7W-12 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN YEARLING 229 8.64

Maybe better luck in Grant:
2012 BIG GREEN RIVER 7N-4W-16 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN ADULT (BROODSTOCK) 50 19
2012 BIG GREEN RIVER 7N-4W-16 RAINBOW TROUT ERWIN SMALL FINGERLING 2,000 3

Richland also has a few streams that get brooders rainbows dumped at the beginning of the season.

Willow and Bear creeks in Richland county get a few Rainbows stocked every year. I've also caught them on the Big Green and Blue River in Grant and Iowa counties. I've been told some Rainbows in those streams may be naturally reproducing, but everything I've seen appeared to be stockers.
