Dullyouth & mike I use ferrule wax on a few of my rods. If your having issues with the blanks sticking together you can get some of the cabinet fabric for cheap. Then cut 2 pieces of fabric off. Cut each at 4"×4". This will help get those rod sections apart on those hot days. An example of the fabric is

You don't need to buy a huge roll. There are smaller lengths, and it's soft so it won't damage the rod.
