Fished the mid-lower kinni this afternoon. I brought my 00 wt micro switch to test a line I built and my 2 wt micro switch with the intention of swinging streamers. Except I forgot the line spool for the 2wt...

The 00wt scandi head worked great, so I swung nymphs and wets through the riffles instead. A few fish were brought to hand.

End of the day tally:

Fish brought to hand- 5
Geese who attacked me- 2
Ticks who fastened themselves to my nuts- 1

Moral of the story....don't forget your bug dope...

I think you caught more fish on the Lower Kinni today than everybody else this year combined. I'm glad you ignored but words of discouragement.

The numbers and size were not there as compared to last May when I hit the caddis hatch.

Was a balmy 78F at the bottom of the canyon, I saw very few BWO hatching. The lack of insect activity was surprising.
