I was happy to see the earlier post about spots for kids in WI. I've actually been meaning to post the same question, but more focused on the MN side. I'm hoping to combine a Whitewater State Park camping trip with first fly fishing outings with both my 8-yr old daughter and 7-yr old son. They like to fish on lakes, but that's because I have always tried really hard to put them in situations where they will catch a lot quickly, so they think it's easy!

I've had some good success on the fly in SE MN, but I'm relatively new to the area (learned to fly fish while I was living in New England, moved back to MN two years ago). Is Whitewater a good spot to start with kids? It seems like access could be easier, but fishing pressure would be greater. I don't get to go very often myself, so if anybody wants to share a really great fly-fishing spot for kids in MN, you wouldn't have to worry about me spoiling it for you! Otherwise any advice would be very welcome Thanks!
