Spent a couple days in the black hills then scooted over to salt lake. Scouted flaming gorge for a future trip. Uintas got hit with rain lately and a lot of the streams were blown.

Heading for boise this morning. I will be back to hit the green for sure.

How was fishing in the black hills? I am hoping to get out there in the next couple years. Heard fishing is decent and uncrowded.

The fishing is similar to the smaller spring creeks of the driftless region. Trout were super spooky in some sections. Fishing pressure was non-existant. I fished three days and never saw another rod.

Becareful in the woods. The area has been hit hard with pine beetle. 4 times in 3 days I had to get out my chain saw to escape a trail I had gone down and a tree fell on the trail while I was fishing.
