Despite the rains the Kinnickinnic above Swinging Gate has stayed mostly clear the past two days. Fished it this morning into early afternoon. Small browns weren't bashful and readily took in the open. Larger ones took coaxing out of the overhanging alders. Every time the sun came out, so did some caddis, and the risers would start, but never get crazy (and the sun wasn't out long). Skitter a fly on the surface and they'd hit.
However, Parker Creek at Pleasant was pretty blown out and swollen. Still, a few trout were taking, but it was an ugly stream this afternoon. Not sure what that means for the Kinni tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the report. Lots of stuff could potentially be unfishable on Friday & Saturday in Pierce County. Smaller stuff will be better this weekend.
