I took my co-worked out again recently and he hit another home run. This time a magnificent 22" male. The size, spots, rusty belly and red tail make this one of the most beautiful trout I've ever seen.

He hit a #6 gold Panther Martin deluxe casted to the top of the funnel. He chased it to the middle of the pool and slammed it. A long drawn out fight. Every time he saw my bet he ran!

Definitely caught in the brozone layer. I likes the 45 angle. Fish flop but still decent!

That guy is going to get the idea that trout are all BIG. You're just setting him up for a lifetime of disappointment.

Needless to say--nice fish. Some folks would be less generous about sharing a prime fishing spot than you are!

Time for us to go fish Iowa soon! I'd love to catch some tank browns, brooks, and rainbows! Seems like a lot of great fishing. I've yet to fish!!!

Not the case, West Branch. Mark can attest that I was just as pumped about the little 8" brownula I caught before the bigger one. I'm happy to catch a trout of any size. The big ones are definitely a rush though!

That, is a career fish. Very well done! You'll be hard pressed to top that one. Although, if you keep fishing with Mark, he'll put you on the big Trout consistently.
