With the current conditions in the Viroqua area what is everyone's thoughts on how things might fish on Friday? I'm trying to make a plan of attack on where to fish if I make the trip west. Anyone else going to be out fishing on Friday?

Currently flood, mudslide and travel advisories for SW Wisconsin, with more rain forecast for the next couple of days. 3-5" has fallen area-wide. Some smaller streams might be fishable by Friday. But I'd call the fly shop in Viroqua for a stream to report before you make any travel plans.

I love how global warming is really fucking up our trout streams. But at least destroying the planet creates jobs so it's all good, right?

I kind of figured that I might just stay local and try to get a few salmon staging in the harbor or head out with the boat for some northern on a lake.

That's what I was about to suggest. Plus the rain would really push them up river. Salmon are stagging and the tug would be fun.
