The Milwaukee and Menomonee rivers are open.
The water is crystal clear, a tad low.
I will be out Sunday morning.
Should not be crowded.
I may try some streamers, some of my new Panther Martin spinners and maybe even some "beads!"
So, 3 different rigs!
Echo, St Croix and an old Berkely Stinger with a Quick M~110.
Just for some fun, though it may be too warm!Blink

Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho!

Considering going to mother in-law's (Burlington) on Xmas Eve so I can try the Root on Xmas morning.

Was thinking it might be less busy.

Water is low, not much happening, fish didn't play.

But I got out, had a nice cigar and lost a lure!
A White Feather Albino w/red hook.

Had 2 nice steelhead and a smaller Brown on line super bowl Sunday.
I was using the spincasting set up.
I was using 4# test mono.
Both steelhead were 10# plus.
I played 1 thru 4 runs.
He was right next to me.
No waders on, I decided to jump in and net her.
BOING..........to late.

Lesson learned!

I now have 6# for inland and 8# for the tributaries.
I also have a spool of 8# braided in the box.

It's what you learn after you know it all that really counts!

Looks like you got it using a fly rod. Feel free to add 5" the length and 3 pounds to the weight. That is called prestige points. LOL Nice work!
