Thinking about making this my summer trip with my sons. Fish the Savage and North Fork of the Potomac, which are very close to each other. What do you all know about either or both? I have been there kayaking on the Savage, but don't know much about the fishing. If I recall, there is camping right on Savage River Road.

Thanks.

I lived in Garrett County a little over 10 years ago. Fished both rivers a fair amount. Great places, pressure isn't as mush as you may expect since it's so close to some major metro areas. I think it would make a great trip for you and your sons. Good access, fishable to a variety of angling abilities, lots of places to stay, and most importantly-lots of fish! If you want some details PM me and I can give you some more detailed information.
