I'd name the purple section Freestone. Then the "uncharted" section Headwaters, due to the vast amount of springs in the region.

I'd just refer to "Western ???" as "Indianhead"

Ah, Indianhead is what Humphy and Shogren used for their books, no?

I decided on the following names. Speak now, or forever hold your peace.

Here's how Highlands Freestone would look in situ:

Your region names look good to me Stu.

Your Wisconsin version has been a lot of fun to explore and I found some new water just 10 minutes from home that I never considered. I plan to go take a look this weekend, rod in hand.

I received a very kind email from a contact within the Wisconsin DNR with regards to inaccuracies in their data. They have received confirmation from biologists and DNR fisheries managers for six of seven of the problem sections that Guillermo reported. Now they're just waiting for confirmation from one more person.

The good news is that they'll fix the problems soon! Now I just have to wait for an update on their end. This data will enter their T.R.O.U.T. system, which will benefit all anglers in Wisconsin. Once I get the updated data, I'll push it to TroutSpotr ASAP!

I want to thank Guillermo for his dedication and patience. We'll get this fixed!

The next feature I'm working on right now is getting GPS coordinates from your phone into the map, so you can see if you're on public land or not. This will be an "opt-in" process. It will only do this if you give your app explicit permission to use your GPS.

OK! GPS is now a go! Hit the refresh button a few times and check it out!

TroutSpotr has moved to fully enforce secure HTTPS encryption, end-to-end. This means that the feds are gonna have to work 20x harder to sniff your favorite spots. It also means that if you've been using the plain-vanilla http site, you'll have to agree to the terms of service again... ThumbDown

I've been using it for MN. It put me onto the water where I caught my first 20"er. Great service.
