I'm headed up there in a couple of weeks and planning on spending a day on the Jump, starting in Prentice.

Anyone suggestions on best spots to wade, chances for getting a spot at Big Falls Campground, etc. would be appreciated.

Looks like a good place...gonna use the 6 weight but may put a wire bit on the end in case of musky/northern making an appearance.

Thanks.

Go near Winter and fish the Brunet below highway 70. Plenty of brook action, even with warm water. Jump is gonna be high and beat to hell. Warm water species there, I don't think it;s designated. R

Oh and bring pterodactyl bug spray. The mosquitoes are bad!

Not looking for trout...more interested in smallies this time of year.

Think it's wadeable around Prentice and below even with the high water?

The Flambeau is within an hour so could always scoot up there for the afternoon.

The Flambeau is crazy high and still was June 24th or so. Depending on where you go, there are some danger zones where one should not chance wading. Some pits and rapids. R
