Haha nice fish forthw wife Gurth. My wife accepts my fishing problem as a coping mechanism, but it's the last thing she'd do for fun! R

Oh... mine knows that the stream is my time and she wouldn't have the appetite to go as much as I do anyway. Also - she likes to sleep in on the weekend more than about anything else in the world. That right there buys me more solitude than any other factor. Wink

She does like to fish on occasion though and I was happy that she finally got some trout and got a taste of what streams are all about.

Gurth I'd trade in some of my big fish to get my wife to go with me just once! Waders, bugs, brush, tripping and falling, sweating...she's out.

Mine too - after the first mosquito, she's back inside, even at home. I'm not sure how I made the mistake of marrying a woman whose idea of The Great Outdoors consists of the walk between her car and her office.

She's pretty tough and resilient, but she wouldn't put up with some of the places I go or some of the days that I go.

The stars aligned on Sunday - perfect temp, not too hot or too cold... limited bugs - a few gnats on the first stream and no bugs the rest of the day that I remember... easy access banks except for the last place... solid bottoms in the water...

The only thing that didn't quite happen was the fish count, but I got 5 and she got 4. Had I gone alone and gotten those 9 trout, I'd have thought it was a pretty good day.

I'll get back to you in January and February. We'll see what she's made of then. Wink
