I've decided to once again get into the blogging game. Please feel free to respond with constructive criticism, this is still a work in progress, but I'm looking forward to the future write ups.

Good start.

I'll PM some critique thoughts if you want.

Absolutely, I'd really appreciate it! They've really added a ton of new features to blogger from when I last tried this a few years ago, so I'm still cycling through the newest options and trying to figure out what works well for what I'm trying to do. I really like the template I'm working with, doesn't seem as generic, but it does need some finessing. I'll try to add more plug ins at some point, and I'd like to start taking videos for my write ups when possible. I just need a solid freeze up here so I can actually go and get some content without driving 2 hours.

Hey, clear your inbox!

I made your blog a favorite, I will be following it and commenting if I can figure out how to do so.

Maybe we can create a post for that blog on the Milwaukee River!
Was just a tad too windy today.

You're off to a fine start Nick. Some nice trophy looking Trout there.

Speaking from the old man point of view, the only comment I might add is a larger font size would be easier for those of us with small screens and bad eyes to read. Otherwise, the page looks great. You might want to include some hot links to this forum, fly shops, etc...

Good luck!

Agree on the font size. It's also pretty text heavy.

Thanks guys, I’ll definitely up the font size, it’s at 12 right now, I’ll kick it up to 16 and see how it looks. I’ll also widen out the background photo. I erred on the small side to start, since I had to shrink it down quite a bit. I’ll up the pixels by about 500 to start and see how it looks from there. I’d rather not have tiling horizontally so that’s my best bet.

Stan-I’ll clean it out tonight, sounds like a plan! I’m busy this wknd but I should be fairly open thereafter.

AKinMN-I thought the same thing. I just didn’t want to do singular reports well after the fact when the trips aren’t that fresh in my mind, and give people an idea as to what to expect. Future reports will be much heavier on photos and brief storytelling.

Bill-Links are a great idea, I should include Lunds, Bob Mitchell’s, Driftless Angler, DTA, etc.

Thanks again guys

Looks Good Nick, I third the larger font. Had to magnify the screen by 100x to read comfortably. 2nd, fish more with me and you'll have HD cam footage ThumpUp R

I look forward to seeing how this progresses. Currently, we are at a loss for a good Driftless blog that is not only well-done, but updated frequently as well.
