For some reason I don't see the one I usually use, but here are some places I've used before and been very happy with: South of ViroquaJust a couple miles south of Viroqua, but well north of Readstown. Wonderful view, clean and modern place above a garage. Country's Simple DelightsAn older farmhouse west of Viroqua a bit; older farmhouse, but very quiet and pleasant. The "Mielke Way"A nice bungalow north of Westby. Upstairs loft has very low ceiling but nice place overall. |

My wife is liking the Newton Valley Lodge. So......... It does look pretty sweet! Any comments on that place? I like Mielkes because I can bring Elvis the dog. Edited by user Sunday, December 17, 2017 12:29:04 PM(UTC)

I’ve stayed at Quiet Valley Cabins, the Fly Shop apartment, and Timber Coulee Cabins. I would do any three again. Quiet Valley is on a goat farm. Very entertaining. As far as food goes, been to the Driftless Cafe a half dozen times and love it. Good prices. If I plan on pushing thru for a whole day and no break, I’ll stop at the Subway between Viroqua and Wesby and throw a sub in the vest.
