If I had to fish one fly, it would be a Simi-seal leech, size 10 or so. I'd catch a lot of fishes but I'd get pretty tired of it. Worse yet, I'd get really irritated during the first really good little black caddis or Hendrickson hatch and downright PO'd when I can't catch many fish during a sulphur or tan caddis hatch.

Interesting idea, I suppose, but how boring would that be? Part of what I like about fishing is figuring out the puzzle and the fact that the puzzle changes over the course of a season. I suppose a guy could catch walleye on a jig and minnow all season but there are better options at different times of the year.

I totally get the idea of presentation topping all other factors and the fact that a person could fish a fly, lure, or bait all seasons and do well but I'm not sure I'd find as much fun in it.

On a spinning rod, gold Clio.

I don't know a ton about flies yet, but I like a black zonker so far.
