Seems fitting to release this short film on a day when the region reverts back to a sbowscape. I personally love winter and the snow, I'm not sure thrilled about this round of it but if your sitting at home or work and want a couple minute reprieve enjoy this short film. These films are a labor of love, if you like it and want to re-post it via whatever method you have I encourage you to do so. Thanks

That is real nice Justin. Lots of people love your work. I take it you must have a very decent drone to get all those shots?

I use four different cameras when I’m out attempting to get enough good footage for something like this. The drone I use is the DJI Mavic Air. It’s size and the stabilized 3 axis gimbal are the main reasons I went that route. The drone adds an element that I feel helps me better communicate the places I’m at, the grandeur I suppose. I try to use it sparingly, it’s not about flying a drone it’s more about creating a full picture of the mood and elements of the day. Hopefully that’s coming across here. I could much more easily just take a bunch of video of me and others catching trout, cut them together and post it. Ironically it would probably get more views but I prefer to make these short films my way.

I loved it, Justin. You really captured the essence of walking, alone, through the winter woods, alongside the stream.

Thanks for watching the video guys. Glad you enjoyed it. There is plenty of snow MNTrout68 but I suggest you come down and fish this weekend before the weather turns warmer. I posted a stream condition/flooding outlook on my site and I'll continue to update it but I have a feeling that we are going to see some very brown un-fishable water starting mid-week next week and continue through the April 14th catch and keep opener. Hopefully that will change but right now the snow combined with rain/warm weather means alot of water going into the streams.

Cool shot of the insect gang-bang. They obviously didn't care who was watching!
