A few years ago one May, my brother caught a brook trout in Lake Pepin near one of the trout streams while fishing gear for smallmouth.
He's a convicted fly-only guy when it comes to trout, so you can imagine his alarmed reaction first when he caught the brook trout, and then when he realized he'd caught it on a crankbait. BigGrin Still fun to tease him about it haha.

I was thinking about doing a sunset-1030 mousing run the evening before daylight savings kicks in.
