Anyone ever tried any part of the White? I was just down there bass fishing on Bull Shoals, the dam of which creates the tailwater trout fishery of the white. Bass fishing was good, and now after being down there it's got me curious on trying for trout down there at some point in time. So many trips, so little time.

Wait... you went to the White and didn’t fish for trout? Laugh

Google images of White River trout. Some believe that the next world record will come from there.

I’d definitely like to do it someday.

X2

I have family in Southern Missouri. I've been wanting to get down there for years but just has never happened. We have four kids that are very active in sports and whatnot that take up a lot of time. With that said our oldest is headed to college this coming fall. Five more years till there all gone. #watchouttrout

Haha... that's what happened with me about 5 years ago when my HS hockey/lacrosse athlete got his DL and I stopped coaching.

That and games moved from during the day on weekends to nights throughout high school.

I went Full Trout.

Never go Full Trout. Laugh

Was offered a couple of (hockey) coaching opportunities when he graduated at a rival school (JV HC and then Varsity Assistant). Turned them down.

Was pleased and flattered to be considered/wanted, but knew that I'd rather spend an afternoon on water than in a rink. I was done with that phase of my life. Fun times... but over.

It's fishin' time now. Wink
