I lost my tenkara rod! (I think)

Trying to look into purchasing another one (was going to anyway).

It was a Badger Tankara Classic, and was basically a perfect fit, and only cost $120 which was a nice price.

Any suggestions on what to buy?

After enjoying this rod so much for the price I simply can't justify spending $200 or whatever for a new one.

Last year, the Badger Tenkara Fest was May 5 in Coon Valley, which would be a great time to test drive a few rods, but I haven't seen anything about a repeat this year.

Added: I guess it won't happen this year, as Badger Tenkara, which sponsored last year's event, went out of business. They do have a few discounted rods for sale, if you go to badgertenkara.com

Yeah, forgot to mention in my post that I had seen that. Too bad--they were pretty great and I liked the prices vs. quality.

There's not much for sale unfortunately.

I got my son a Tenkara Rod Co. Sierra, which is not bad at all. They have a coupon thing on their website for 15% off your first order too. Tenkarabum.com has all kinds of rods.

Thinking about starting my grandsons out with a faux tenkara set up. I have noticed with crappie fishing they are all about the reel and cranking. Maybe take that option away? Anybody have experience starting 4-5 yr. olds out trout fishing?

Update--pulled the lever on a Fountainhead Caddis 11 foot.

They're out of Michigan and it cost $70 after shipping.

I'll see how it works this next week but I'll assume it'll be fine.

Something I learned (or am going to learn by trying it) is that straight up Flurocarbon line can work as the tenkara line which is great for saving money.
