Armando 16 inch brook.jpeg (399kb) downloaded 35 time(s).My Saturday was supposed to involve taking my neighbor out for his first try at a trout stream, but he bailed on my at the last minute. So I called up my cousin, whom I introduced to trout earlier this year, to see if he was available. We hit the water in Dunn County at 7:30 and took our time, fishing all the way to 6:30. Beautiful scenery combined with mild temperatures and a fairly active bite made for a great day. We had a total of 54 fish to hand, all brook trout, including a 16 inch female that Armando caught(which ended up on the stringer due to being gill hooked). I am trying to post the picture, but I cant figure out how to get them from my phone to the forum.

It felt really good to pick out a line on the map, knowing nothing about it, bring along somebody who is fairly new to trout fishing, and catch that many fish! He had a great time.

Hoping to make one more trip before the season ends.

Justin

Nice looking fish! That looks a lot like the stream where I got my first 16...so you can at least sleep better knowing she isn't the only one LOL
